This semester, I think I've made good headway on my genius hour project. I have almost everything set up, but I am still wondering how I can get my name out there for people? Hopefully, next semester I can get the posts on my other blog going with advice. All I have to do still is confirm how will I let people submit their questions? I was thinking I could do an ask.fm or something along those lines so it's anonymous.
I still have the same inquiry question I did in my first post, which is what might be the questions that incoming freshmen have, and how can I help? Although the question is mainly focused towards freshmen, I will be open to other ages as well. This question will drive my project throughout this year.

Blog Post 3
I got a great idea from a comment on my last post that I want to achieve. It said that I should post links to my blog to school clubs to help people get involved. The comment also mentioned that I could try to get a column in the school newspaper, which I think would be really exciting! In the past week, I have made a blog where I'm going to post my advice and created a separate email for people to contact me at. I don't know how I should have people submit their questions though. My original plan was to have everyone submit their questions through email, but after thinking about it a little longer, I realized their email could give away their name, which some people might not want. Hopefully I can find a better way to have people ask their questions.

Post 2
When I got feedback from the class, I liked the idea of working somewhat with a peer in my class. She is writing about her freshman experience to help incoming freshman, which is my goal as well. Collaborating with her can be beneficial because we can think of good advice to give our viewers together.
Today I want to look at advice blogs to get an idea of how I should format my blog that I will be posting my advice on. It would also be nice to get my advice blog set up by the end of class.
Although I didn't get everything done that I wanted to by the end of class, I cleared up some other things that make me more confident in my idea. What I wanted to accomplish in class today is what I plan to accomplish this week.

Freshman Advice Project - Blog 1
Hi, I'm Lauren, and I'm a freshman in high school. To come up with this project idea I asked myself, what might be the questions that incoming freshmen have, and how can I help? I decided to make something like an advice column for freshmen or new students. I will set up an email or something like that so people can submit questions or concerns they have. After that, I'll post my answers onto a separate blog where the questioners can view my answer to them. I want to set it up so that they can ask the questions anonymously if they wish. Hopefully, my advice column will give people a chance to be able to get help without worrying who will know that they asked the question. Here is an Example of Advice Column if you want to get an idea about what I'm aiming at doing. I also want to collaborate with one of my classmates, since she's writing about her freshman experience.
This is something that interests me because it makes me happy to other people happy, which my hope is that by giving advice, it makes the questioners more confident in their freshman year.
